Job summary

Sanofi in Framingham, MA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Technician for a 12-hour rotating shift in a large-scale cGMP biologics facility. This role involves performing complex tasks under guidance, following manufacturing instructions and GMPs, and ensuring accurate documentation.

You will mentor less experienced operators, troubleshoot basic mechanical issues, and interact with QA, QC, MES/ERP systems, and other support functions to improve processes and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with 1 year in cGxP manufacturing, or Biotech certificate/associate’s degree with no prior experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biotech preferred; experience with process automation systems (DeltaV) is a plus.
• Demonstrated understanding of GMPs and ability to follow procedures and document production activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment and report incidents.
• Follow GMPs and apply them to responsibilities.
• Follow procedures for production, complete production documentation.
• Keep processing areas clean and stocked.
• Generate work orders and revise SOPs as needed.
• Collaborate with QA, Manufacturing Eng, MSIT, and Validation.

Main Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe working environment and reporting of incidents/accidents to Manufacturing management.
• Effectively demonstrates understanding of GMPs and how they apply to specific responsibilities.
• Follows verbal and written procedures in operating production and equipment and performing processing steps; accurately completes appropriate production documentation.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in process area.
• Ensures production area is stocked with supplies.
• Performs SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) revisions and work order generation.
• Interacts with other support functions such as Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing Engineering, MSIT, Validation, etc.
• Utilizes manufacturing knowledge to improve process operations and affect positive change.
• Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical operations.
• Effectively utilizes Microsoft Office applications.
• Mentors less experienced operators.
• Performs in process analytical testing.
• Demonstrates general knowledge of automation systems (INFOR, MES, ERP, DeltaV).
• Demonstrates general knowledge and practice of aseptic techniques.

Continuous Improvement

• Contributes to continual improvement of all manufacturing documentation (SOP’s, EWI’s, MBR’s, OJT’s) to ensure they are current, accurate, and clear.
• Supports plant floor continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 1 year of experience in cGxP manufacturing environment, or Biotech Certificate or Biotech associate’s degree with no prior experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biotech with no prior experience. Effectively uses process automation systems to operate production processes (i.e. DeltaV).

The salary range for this position is:

$24.00 - $32.00
