Job summary

McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a Senior Technician to lead testing, fabrication, assembly, and test instrumentation of vehicles and subsystems.

You will validate new designs and resolve issues on sustaining products, while mentoring colleagues for growth and professional development. The role provides technical support to customers and requires ability to follow engineering procedures and standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree with five years of engineering or related experience.
• Ability to obtain a CDL or Telehandler/AWP operator license.
• Weld certification required.
• Travel up to 10% is expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests and record data with manual entry and data acquisition.
• Assemble/disassemble complex projects and fabricate parts and fixtures.
• Test prototypes and current products to verify capabilities and compliance.
• Mentor technicians to follow best practices and drive continuous improvement.
• Communicate cross-functionally to resolve problems and follow directions.
• Determine appropriate test instruments for product testing.
• Plan daily activities to meet timelines and priorities.
• Maintain a safe work environment and use PPE as required.
• Operate heavy equipment or drive vehicles for testing.
