Job summary

Instrumental builds the manufacturing acceleration platform behind the world’s most complex electronics. We capture digital exhaust and engineering context from assembly lines—images, test logs, BOM data, performance, repair cycles—and our AI engines identify insights that are difficult or impossible for human engineers to find.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mechanical design or related fields.
• Excellent communication and enthusiasm for direct customer work.
• Experience on high-volume electronics or NPI manufacturing floors.
• Strong CAD, DFM and tolerance analysis skills.
• Builder's mindset; able to solve ambiguous problems.
• Startup experience or independent initiative.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Architect customer manufacturing solutions with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to maximize coverage, throughput, and business impact.
• Lead technical customer engagements as the technical voice throughout the lifecycle.
• Design production-ready hardware: station placement, imaging strategy, fixtures, optics, and integration into high-volume lines.
• Turn manufacturing data into decisions by leveraging customer data to improve visibility and speed on the floor.
