Job summary

Divergent is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Operations Specialist in Long Beach, CA to lead tactical scheduling and long-range production planning for machining, inspection, and assembly. You will host daily standups, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive on-time delivery in a high-volume environment.

The role emphasizes deep MRP/MES proficiency, strong cross-functional collaboration, and a data-driven approach to improve schedule visibility and efficiency across focused work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in aerospace or high-complexity manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP and MES systems.
• Expertise in production planning, forecasting, and schedule optimization.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, project management tools, JIRA and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduling expertise for machining, inspection, and assembly work centers to support forecasted build plans and production readiness.
• Develop and maintain work center schedules for machined parts, in-process inspection, assembly, and final inspection operations.
• Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules and communicate status in standups and cross-functional meetings.
• Push/pull jobs to reduce WIP and meet build targets; ensure MRP dates reflect shop floor conditions.
