We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) as part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, and Bell\'s High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.

This position is onsite in Fort Worth, TX

SCM Engineering Transitions Team, Project Management

Contributing to the successful completion of major projects that support strategic priorities or difficult technical objectives, the Manufacturing Engineer understands advanced manufacturing technical principles, theories and concepts to develop imaginative manufacturing technology on existing or advanced designs, concepts, processes, systems and tools.

Working under general direction, the individual possesses unique Manufacturing Engineering knowledge in specialty and advanced manufacturing technical areas.

Represents Production Engineering as manufacturing technical contact on projects, programs and/or cross functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Direct supplier facing experience either supporting production or industrialization of product.
  • Develop scope of work, resource estimates, progress metrics, and communication cadence for overall project management to meet mission critical objectives.
  • Works through a disciplined approach in initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing tasks and projects to achieve specific goals to specific success criteria.
  • Work and deliverables reviewed and checked through team leadership, Project/Program management, and Functional management to adequately meet objectives.
  • Mentors and shares manufacturing technology with teammates and colleagues.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge and/or expertise in one or more manufacturing technologies to include, but not limited to the following: (Aerostructure, Electrical and Mechanical Systems, Tail, Main and Prop Rotor Blade Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Gear and Transmission Drive Systems, Tooling/Equipment Integration)
  • Knowledge of military and commercial aircraft systems.
  • Able to apply engineering design and analysis knowledge to evaluate discrepancies and anomalies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Outlook
What you need to be successful
  • At least 5+ years in aerospace or related manufacturing industry experience
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or relevant/related disciplines. Also accepted will be Bachelor’s Degrees in Chemical, Systems, Automation/Robotic, Aeronautical/Aviation, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing.
  • Experience with manufacturing product data and project data in applications such as Enovia, CAMS, and Primavera is preferred.
  • CATIA V5/V6 experience is preferred.
