Corning is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and capabilities at our Newton, NC facility. You will lead cost reduction, process improvement, and new technology projects, partnering with cross-functional teams across manufacturing sites to deliver measurable results.

Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's in engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing, and demonstrated leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Electrical, or Polymer Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading a team of engineers to achieve business goals.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Minitab).
• Demonstrated application of engineering principles to solve manufacturing problems.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize process and business needs and align engineering activities and resources to deliver them.
• Lead and support continuous improvement, cost reduction, process optimization, and new product or process introduction projects.
• Solve process issues through data analysis, experimentation, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Provide engineering-level production support and engage in plant safety initiatives.
• Develop and maintain systems to monitor equipment and process performance.
• Integrate new technologies to improve process capability and share best practices across sites.
