Job summary

Wasik Associates LLC seeks a Director of Operations to lead the MA manufacturing function, driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost while providing hands-on leadership to the production team. The role develops production plans, allocates resources, and removes bottlenecks to meet customer commitments.

You will partner with Quality and Engineering to improve processes and ensure long-term growth for the organization. This role requires 10+ years in manufacturing with leadership experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of manufacturing experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience with production planning and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and BOMs.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage manufacturing operations.
• Establish priorities, expectations, accountability, and direction across the shop.
• Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet daily/weekly goals.
• Plan activities based on labor, equipment, materials, and resources; address constraints.
• Monitor performance, capacity, labor utilization, and workflow to identify bottlenecks.
• Ensure SOPs and policies are followed and maintained.
• Drive continuous improvement focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction.
• Collaborate with Chief of Staff on workforce planning and development.
• Provide visible floor leadership and oversee shop activities and maintenance.
• Coordinate with Quality and Engineering to address QA/QC issues.
