Sensience seeks a General Manager for its Hampstead manufacturing facility to lead site performance, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration across operations, quality, supply chain, sales, product management, and finance.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and 10+ years of senior manufacturing leadership, with a strong emphasis on financial acumen, governance, and Lean-driven process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Business or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership or general management experience.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong business acumen with experience managing financial performance, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead operational improvement and organizational change initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions and organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall site and business performance.
• Establish strategic priorities aligned with company objectives.
• Drive accountability, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Represent the facility with customers, auditors, and executive leadership.
• Develop and execute plans that support growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
• Provide leadership and direction to the Plant Manager and functional leaders.
• Ensure achievement of safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support capital planning, capacity planning, and facility improvement activities.
• Maintain executive-level relationships with key customers.
• Support quotation processes, pricing strategy, and commercial execution.
• Ensure customer requirements are translated into operational priorities.
• Lead resolution of significant customer concerns and escalations.
• Partner with Sales and Product Management to support growth opportunities.
• Own site P&L performance and achievement of financial targets.
• Lead annual operating plans, forecasts, and capital budgets.
• Drive margin improvement, cost reduction, and working capital initiatives.
• Monitor business performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with ISO requirements, customer standards, and company policies.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, ethics, and continuous improvement.
• Support audits, corrective actions, and risk management activities.
• Build and develop a high-performing leadership team.
• Drive succession planning and talent development.
• Partner with HR on workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
