Job summary

Bpp Mfg is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Industrial Engineer to drive end‑to‑end production flow in a mechanical assembly facility. The role focuses on eliminating waste, reducing cycle times, and increasing throughput through data‑driven improvements and cross‑functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in manufacturing engineering, a track record of measurable performance gains, and experience launching or designing a new facility/line.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Industrial Engineering or closely related engineering discipline.
• 7+ years of IE or manufacturing engineering experience in a mechanical assembly environment.
• Hands‑on proficiency in VSM, time study, line balancing, and standard work development.
• Strong data analysis and visualization skills (Excel, Power BI, or equivalent).
• Experience building production schedules and modeling capacity.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret BOMs.
• Demonstrated record of driving change through influence, not authority.

Responsibilities

• Flow analysis & design across production stages to improve workflow, layouts, and material flow.
• Facility & layout planning for workstation placement, material flow paths, and storage.
• Develop and maintain the master production schedule; model capacity scenarios.
• Coordinate with receiving to ensure timely inbound material flow and traceability.
• Establish standard work, takt time, and operator balance charts for assembly operations.
• Analyze test cell utilization and QC throughput with quality to reduce cycle time.
• Coordinate shipping timing with outbound freight windows and monitor dock-to-ship cycle.
• Lead kaizen events, 5S, and waste-reduction projects across the value stream.
• Build and maintain the operational performance dashboard for reporting to Plant Manager.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings to resolve sequencing conflicts and resource gaps.
• Evaluate ergonomics and tooling; propose improvements for safety and efficiency.
