Job summary

Collins Aerospace is hiring a Senior Manufacturing Facilities and Maintenance Manager (Onsite) in Jacksonville, FL. The role leads facilities operations, maintenance activities, and building systems to ensure reliability, safety, and compliance while supporting production goals.

You will oversee maintenance teams and contractors, preventive programs, and capital projects. The position requires coordinating with manufacturing, safety, engineering, and operations to optimize uptime and asset

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
• Experience with PLC controls and electrical schematics
• Experience with autoclaves and high pressure boilers
• 7+ years of maintenance or facilities management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and building systems

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and develop the facilities and maintenance team, including technicians, contractors, and service providers
• Plan, schedule, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
• Oversee maintenance for building systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, security systems, and grounds
• Ensure all manufacturing equipment, utilities, and facility systems operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulations and company standards
• Coordinate and manage capital improvement projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and applicable codes
• Develop budgets for facilities maintenance, utilities, and capital projects; manage costs effectively
• Partner with manufacturing, safety, engineering, and operations teams to support production efficiency and facility reliability
• Manage vendor relationships and service contracts for maintenance, custodial, emergency repairs, and facility services
• Implement continuous improvement strategies, including root‑cause analysis and reliability‑centered maintenance practices
• Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities, asset records, and facility drawings
• Lead emergency response for facility‑related incidents, including power outages, equipment failures, and weather‑related events

The Manufacturing Facilities/Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading all facilities operations, maintenance activities, and building systems performance across the manufacturing site. This role ensures the reliability, safety, and compliance of equipment, utilities, and infrastructure, while driving continuous improvement and supporting production goals. The manager will oversee maintenance teams, contractors, preventive maintenance programs, and capital projects.

What You Will Do

Qualifications We Prefer

• PMP certification (Project management Professional)
• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
• Existing U.S. Government Security Clearance

• Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning processes
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and system documentation

Salary

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
