Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician for our Aurora, OH location. Under limited supervision, you will install, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment and fixtures, and keep repair records. You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and document tasks to ensure a safe, efficient production environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent; Technical School is preferred and at least three years of direct experience. HVAC knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical School preferred.
• 3 years direct maintenance experience.
• Strong math and PC skills required.
• Interpersonal and communication skills essential.
• HVAC knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains building electrical system, heating and cooling equipment.
• Performs maintenance or general carpentry on doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, etc.
• Performs preventative maintenance on material handling equipment, and production equipment.
• Completes required maintenance reports.
• Responds to security alarm calls as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
