Job summary

The Toro Company in Windom, MN seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing Engineering team and drive continuous improvement across assembly, paint and welding processes. You will champion safety, Lean methods, and collaborative problem-solving to improve quality and productivity.

Ideal candidates have engineering credentials, 8+ years in manufacturing with 5+ years in supervision, and hands-on experience with budgeting, ERP systems (especially SAP) and engineering

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering with eight+ years in consumer goods manufacturing.
• Minimum 5+ years supervisory experience at department level.
• Strong budgeting, organizational and planning skills.
• Experience with welding, powder coat painting, or progressive assembly processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Manufacturing Engineers, fostering accountability, productivity and safety.
• Directs engineering function to ensure Assembly, Paint and Welding processes meet safety and quality specs.
• Advocate Lean concepts and continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Coordinate with internal partners across sites and with NPD teams.
• Review projects and start-ups for smooth implementation.
• Establish engineered time standards for direct/indirect labor operations.
• Support production scheduling and maintain a stable workforce.
