Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering in Texas to lead the definition, design, and implementation of processes, lines, layouts, and technology for a Carrier manufacturing facility. You will guide the manufacturing and automation engineering team through equipment installation, validation, capacity planning, and line optimization.

The role requires 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience including 3+ years of leadership, with Lean/Industry 4.0 expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering.
8+ years manufacturing engineering experience, including 3+ years leading engineering teams.
Lean and advanced-manufacturing principles (poka-yoke, flow, automation, Industry 4.0).
Capital (CAPEX) project ownership from justification through installation and integration.
Strong project-management skills with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design, layout, and implement the site manufacturing engineering roadmap, processes, and production lines.
Direct the manufacturing and automation engineering team to define processes, standard work, cycle times, and capacity models.
Own equipment specification, procurement, installation, and line transfers; drive technology deployment.
Apply Lean and Industry 4.0 to drive transformation and maximize efficiency and capacity.
Define and govern the CAPEX budget and portfolio prioritization; ensure on-time, on-budget execution.
Partner with Quality, NPI, and Operations to industrialize new products and achieve successful launches.
Establish engineering standards and documentation; develop a strong engineering talent pipeline.
