Job summary

Great Bay Staffing Group is seeking an engineer to design new dies and modify tooling in steel at a Fulton, IL facility. You’ll lead cross-functional projects, run time studies, and implement process improvements using CAD and simulation tools. Relocation assistance is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3+ years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience (2-5 years ideal).
• Strong background in pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical/electrical systems.
• CAD proficiency; simulation software experience preferred.
• ERP experience, SAP strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred welding experience or CWI certification.
• Tooling and die experience.
• Familiarity with API certification standards.
• Time study experience and Lean/Continuous Improvement methodology.

The Opportunity

This role puts you at the center of tool and die work inside a high-tech manufacturing facility that builds auger equipment and power transmission components. You'll spend the majority of your time designing new dies and modifying existing tooling in steel, backed by a multi-billion dollar, 100+ year old global manufacturer that continues to invest in operational excellence.

You'll report directly to the Engineering Manager and partner closely with operations, maintenance, and safety, giving you real visibility and influence over plant-wide engineering initiatives.
