Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (Mid-Career/Senior) to join the ESG on the X-37B program, located onsite at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The role emphasizes developing manufacturing plans, leading IPTs, and ensuring producibility for complex spaceflight hardware on the 2nd shift.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years of related experience, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Advanced technical education in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, or related fields.
• 5+ years of related work experience (Level 3).
• Experience defining, developing and implementing manufacturing build plans.
• Ability to work 2nd Shift.

Responsibilities

• Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining the program architecture for build.
• Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
• Lead and implement manufacturing plans.
• Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure process capability aligns with requirements.
• Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible definitions.
• Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies.
• Assist in providing producibility information for project plans and document best practices.
• Resolve technical problems impacting performance, cost, or schedule.
• Coordinate and implement new engineering principles and technologies.
• Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
• Implement lean principles and technologies.
