Specialist Staffing Group seeks a Medical Device Senior Manufacturing Engineer for a multiyear contract in North San Jose, CA. The role focuses on New Product Introduction leadership for complex robotic assemblies and subsystems, driving manufacturing readiness and cross‑functional reviews to ensure timely transitions.

The ideal candidate will apply DFM/DFA/DFX strategies and lean principles, while mentoring engineers and technicians in best manufacturing practices and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Experience leading NPI for complex robotic assemblies.
• Strong background in DFM/DFA/DFX strategies.
• Lean manufacturing principles applied to reduce waste and improve productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical DFM activities for complex robotic assemblies and subsystems, resolving manufacturing constraints with urgency.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing readiness frameworks for product releases with 100+ components.
• Drive cross-functional NPI reviews with R&D, Quality, and Production to ensure seamless transitions.
• Create and execute NPI project timelines, identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
