Job summary

MKS Instruments in the United States is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to partner with NPI and Engineering to develop and implement manufacturing processes for electromechanical parts and assemblies for new product development. You will report to the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• BS (EE/ME/IE) with 5+ years of hands on experience in mechanical or electromechanical systems.
• Experience in PCBA, Quality, Reliability, Manufacturing, Cable/Harness, and Magnetics experience is a plus.
• Written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience introducing new products from a prototype to a production environment.
• Collaboration skills with a passion for manufacturing and operations.
• Ability to train and mentor production personnel.

Responsibilities

• Transition products from Design to LCC Manufacturing centers. Represent the Technical Operations team in product development projects, communicating requirements and proposing solutions.
• Partner with design engineering and facilitates supplier value engineering in product development with strong influence in DFX (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Service).
• Define and establish manufacturing methods, processes, and tools to streamline new and existing products.
• Review designs of PCBA's, cables, metal, and magnetics for production manufacturability.
• Design and procure assembly tools and fixtures.
• Create, update and maintain manufacturing process instructions.
• Structure product BOM's and establishes routings with associated labor standards.
• Responsible for coordination of product transfers to manufacturing.
• Support daily production demand.
• Travel Requirements: Up to 20 % of Travel is required
