Job summary

MKS Instruments in Broomfield, CO, is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer for the Vacuum Solutions Division.

You will partner with Product Engineers, Quality, Planning, and Production Leaders to improve and sustain production processes and support the manufacturing strategy for the local operations. The role focuses on analyzing systems, designing solutions, resolving quality issues at the component level, and maintaining manufacturing documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Lean manufacturing and safety emphasis.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor, Oracle, and Agile.
• Understanding of Product Engineering, ECR/ECO systems, BOM, and engineering docs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing systems and identify value-added activities.
• Design, develop, and test innovative manufacturing solutions.
• Resolve quality and efficiency issues at component level.
• Maintain and implement manufacturing documents (WIs, drawings, process docs).
• Estimate manufacturing costs, review time standards, and advise tooling needs.
• Evaluate processes, equipment, and materials for scheduling and metrics.
• Uphold the company’s reputation with safe, innovative solutions and regulatory compliance.
• Train employees on productivity improvement projects.
