Job summary

Westinghouse is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead development and administration of major manufacturing programs. Located at Columbia, SC, this 100% onsite role reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in engineering, about 5 years in manufacturing, lean and Six Sigma experience, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to meet schedules and capital targets.

Qualifications

• BS in an engineering discipline.
• 5 years' experience.
• Manufacturing environment experience.
• Nuclear is desired but not required.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

• Specifications of new process, design, development, installation and qualification of new equipment.
• Lead coordination of working departments to meet project scope, schedule and capital targets.
• Analyze and recommend technological innovations in materials, machinery, and processing to solve manufacturing problems.
• Propose renewals of business opportunities and plant/division strategic plans; represent Westinghouse in professional societies.
• Prepare technical papers and present to customers and others.
• Consult with management and staff on manufacturing capabilities, schedules and considerations to facilitate production.
