Job summary

RealTruck is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing processes, enhancing safety, quality, cost, reduction, and throughput. You will identify, justify, and coordinate new processes, systems, and equipment—both automated and non-automated—and serve as a subject matter expert to provide support and troubleshooting.

In this role you will lead manufacturing projects, work with product design engineering and production, and develop fixtures and tooling aligned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of engineering work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2D and/or 3D CAD experience (AutoCAD and SolidWorks).
• ERP or other manufacturing software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, plan, implement, and monitor the use of technology to improve, streamline, and automate manufacturing processes.
• Develop automated and non-automated manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
• Communicate recommendations for changes, prepare cost justifications, and coordinate the design and development of new processes, systems, equipment, or materials.
• Utilize process mapping and value stream analysis tools to improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Conduct and analyze time and motion studies to ensure optimal part/product flow.
• Lead manufacturing projects to ensure timeline, cost, and outcome expectations are met.
• Provide support to product design engineering and production during design, development, and implementation of new and improved products. Assist with troubleshooting or problem-solving activities.
• Design and develop fixtures and tooling related to the enhancement of manufactured processes, product changes, and new products that are consistent with a zero-defect level and low product cost.
• Lead and train others in utilizing lean manufacturing tools to deliver results.
