Thea Energy in Kearny, NJ is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III to lead the development, validation and scale‑up of advanced HTS magnet manufacturing processes and tooling. You will act as a senior technical contributor, partnering with Magnet Engineering to drive manufacturability and improvements from prototype to production.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in manufacturing engineering, strong experience with electro‑mechanical assemblies, and a background in PLM/MRP/ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 7+ years in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies and high-precision soldering, brazing, welding.
• Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience scaling to production with PLM/MRP/ERP.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of HTS magnet manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Own end-to-end design, procurement, build, and commissioning of tooling and automated assembly equipment.
• Partner with Magnet Engineering for DFMA, process FMEAs, and design improvements from prototype to production.
• Define BOMs, routings, and inventory in PLM/MRP/ERP; manage vendor relationships for precision hardware.
• Mentor junior engineers and track milestones, schedules, and budgets.
