Helsing GmbH is building a new manufacturing facility in Martinsburg, West Virginia, seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own process flows, tooling, and equipment from concept to startup and steady-state production.

You will lead cross-functional activities across Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Production, with hands-on design work, vendor management, and MES implementation to ensure safe, scalable operations.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience designing tooling, fixtures, and test stands.
• Experience building manufacturing process flows and standard work stations.
• Hands-on experience procuring manufacturing equipment and managing vendor relationships.
• Experience setting up MES systems from a process and work instruction perspective.
• Strong project management skills, with timelines and budgets.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and improve manufacturing process flows for new and existing product lines.
• Develop standard work stations, work instructions, and standardized processes for repeatable, high-quality production.
• Design custom tooling, jigs, fixtures, and test stands to support efficient operations.
• Design and build test stands and fixtures for product validation and end-of-line testing.
• Lead procurement of capital equipment from specification to installation and qualification.
• Manage the timeline and budget for manufacturing engineering workstreams during factory standup.
• Support startup, ramp, and stabilization of production lines; troubleshoot issues in real time.
• Set up MES processes and work instructions to support production tracking and quality control.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, and Production to meet timelines.
