Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Fasteners)

Join TriMas Aerospace as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Fasteners). This role involves planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes in an industrial plant.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Competencies:
  • Implement cost-effective equipment modifications to improve throughput.
  • Solve complex manufacturing problems involving sub-contractors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Identify opportunities for cost and manpower reductions through assembly configuration and improvements.
  • Drive the incorporation of technical advancements into manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow; design equipment and workspace layouts for efficiency.
  • Consult with vendors to determine product specifications and procure equipment, materials, or parts.
  • Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and costs to aid management decisions.
  • Collaborate with management and engineering teams regarding manufacturing capabilities and schedules.
  • Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements.
  • Identify and resolve problems promptly, working effectively in group problem-solving situations.
