Job summary

Crown Equipment Corporation, located in New Bremen, OH, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for Drive Unit Assembly. The role focuses on developing and optimizing assembly processes, leading cross-functional projects, and driving cost and safety improvements in production.

Responsibilities include equipment procurement, process validation, and collaboration with product engineering to deliver robust manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• 8-15 years related experience required.
• Associate Degree required; non-degree considered with 8+ years experience and HS diploma/GED.
• Must have valid driving privileges.
• Occasional travel (0-5%).
• Occasional overnight stays (0-5%).

Responsibilities

• Develop, oversee implementation, and optimize assembly processes based on capacity, cost, or safety considerations.
• Investigate and propose future-state manufacturing conditions with innovative approaches and new technologies.
• Demonstrate cross-functional project management and guide strategic plans for the assembly department.
• Prepare project justification including build vs buy analysis, layout, cost impact, and schedule.
• Implement processes including equipment procurement, installation coordination, process capability prove-out, training, and production start-up.
• Collaborate with product engineering for manufacturing perspectives on cost, process, schedule, and prototypes.
• Develop reports, briefings, and management presentations.
• Provide technical direction and develop other Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Develop, oversee implementation, and optimize assembly processesthrough analysis based on capacity, cost reduction, and/or safety to meet company initiatives.
• Investigate and propose future-state conditions within manufacturing processes with a strong commitment towards innovative approaches and advancing new technologies to develop robust processes and ease of operation interaction while meeting engineering intent of assemblies.
• Demonstrate cross-functional project management skills and provide insight to guide strategic plans for the assembly department.
• Prepare project justification including recommendations, build vs buy analysis, layout, cost impact and schedule activities.
• Implement processes including equipment procurement, coordination of installation, process capability prove-out, training, process documentation, and production start-up.
• Collaborate with product engineering to provide manufacturing perspectives regarding cost estimation, process, schedule development and prototype manufacturing.
• Develop reports, project briefings and management presentations.
• Provide technical direction, leadership, and develop other Manufacturing Engineers and Process Technicians.

Qualifications:

• 8-15 years related experience
• Associate Degree
  • Non-degree considered if 8+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
• Must have valid driving privileges

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering related field.
• Must have a broad background in assembly technologies with the ability and willingness to develop and improve processes.
• Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills are preferred.
• Must demonstrate good communication, computer, and organizational skills.
