Job summary

Fairchild Imaging in San Jose, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement cost effective manufacturing and test methods, and flow of material for existing products and new introductions.

The role requires experience in semiconductor assembly and test manufacturing, and will act as a subject matter expert across related processes. This is a full-time on-site position at Fairchild Imaging.

Qualifications

• Background in quality systems and electronics assembly/testing.
• Experience with wafer dicing, die attach, wire bonding, camera assembly/test.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and data reporting.
• Six Sigma / Lean methodologies experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop new manufacturing processes / tooling.
• Review/approve drawings for producibility and coordinate first article assembly.
• Develop work instructions, software, and procedures for manufacturing.
• Develop training programs and provide guidance to personnel.
• Perform methods and cost analyses and measure processes.
• Assist in resolving supply chain issues impacting manufacturing.
• Liaise between Manufacturing, Production Control, Engineering and suppliers.
