Job summary

Moog is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Torrance, CA to develop and mature production processes for aerospace hardware. You will lead DFMA-driven NPI reviews and collaborate across teams to improve yield and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include ownership of gear production equipment, tooling specs, and process optimization for legacy programs, with strong emphasis on machining, inspection, and automation capabilities. This role is onsite in Torrance with a 9/80 schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in manufacturing/industrial/mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • 6+ years in manufacturing engineering, aerospace preferred.
  • Experience with gear/spline manufacturing and inspection.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and quality tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and mature manufacturing processes for production hardware.
  • Lead NPI drawing reviews applying DFMA principles.
  • Support legacy programs with process improvements and automation.
  • Provide technical ownership of gear production equipment, fixtures and tooling.
