Job summary

QX Global Group is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support automated manufacturing processes in an automotive production facility. You will lead automation projects, optimize equipment performance, and drive cost-reduction and safety improvements.

You will collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams; program and support ABB and FANUC robotics; improve cycle times, OEE, and labor efficiency through automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in an automotive environment.
  • Hands-on experience with ABB and FANUC robotics.
  • Experience with automated assembly equipment, PLC-controlled systems, HMIs, servos, and industrial controls.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead automation projects from concept through production launch.
  • Troubleshoot and improve automated manufacturing equipment; implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Program and support ABB and FANUC robotics; manage teach pendant operations, EOAT, safety, and integration.
  • Support PLC, HMI, servo, and industrial network systems.
  • Improve cycle time, OEE, uptime, scrap reduction, and labor efficiency through automation.

Job description

Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve automated manufacturing processes within an automotive production environment. This role will lead automation projects, optimize equipment performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead automated assembly projects from concept, design, and installation through production launch.
  • Troubleshoot and improve automated manufacturing equipment, identifying root causes and implementing permanent corrective actions.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and supportABB and FANUC robotic systems, including teach pendant operations, recovery, EOAT, safety, and integration.
  • Support and optimize PLC, HMI, servo, and industrial network systems.
  • Improve cycle time, OEE, uptime, scrap reduction, and labor efficiency through automation and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing standards, process documentation, and engineering specifications.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to support manufacturing goals.
  • Support automotive interior manufacturing processes including lamination, vacuum forming, glue cells, and automated assembly operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with ABB and/or FANUC robotics.
  • Experience with automated assembly equipment, PLC-controlled systems, HMIs, servos, and industrial controls.
  • Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement experience.Proven success improving equipment reliability, productivity, and manufacturing performance.
Preferred Experience:
  • Automotive interior manufacturing.
  • Robotic automation, vision systems, and advanced assembly processes.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
