Johnson Controls in Hattiesburg, Mississippi is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for supporting current manufacturing and facilitating continuous process improvement. In this role, you'll develop solutions for production issues and design tooling and machinery for new products.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 3-5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience, preferably in a low volume, high mix environment.

Responsible for supporting the current manufacturing and facilitating the continuous improvement processes associated with the manufacturing methods and processes in the plant facility. Also develops solutions for production problems related to materials, processes, and tooling. Supports new products and programs by developing new processes, designing tooling and machinery, and developing production controls. Responsible for set‑up of new equipment, ensures proper operation of the new equipment, and to teach others the proper use of this equipment. Accountable for applying sound economic methods to equipment and space utilization to meet design and quality criteria with the lowest expense and consistent with the facilities financial and non‑financial objectives.
