Job summary

L2x Talent Solutions seeks an experienced Engineering Process Leader to develop and optimize manufacturing work instructions, BOMs, and test parameters for electronics/mechatronics products. You will collaborate with design and test teams to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while driving process improvements and robust documentation.

Responsibilities include DFSS/DFM deployment, PPAP package generation, and leading root-cause analysis for continuous improvement on the production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BSIE, BSME, BSIET or similar).
• 10+ years of experience in electronics, electro-mechanical, or mechatronics manufacturing/assembly.
• Experience in highly regulated or tight-tolerance industries (medical, military/defense, aerospace, automotive, etc.).
• Experience in New Product Development (NPD), New Product Introduction (NPI), R&D, or prototype environments.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing process flow, production operations, assembly processes and floor support.
• Ability to develop and release detailed work instructions/process sheets for electronic manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Ability to create, update, and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) tied to engineering changes (ECOs, CARs, etc.).
• Ability to support NPI builds from prototype through production, ensuring documentation, process readiness, and successful handoff to manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Develop process sheets (Work Instructions) for all products.
• Update BOMs reflecting CARs and approved process improvements.
• Define test parameters for electrical and mechanical integrity.
• Incorporate guidance from design and test engineers on safety, quality, and environmental issues.
• Teach and sustain DFSS and DFM in development projects.
• Ensure new products are documented with BOM and process sheets.
• Plan, document, and report test results, processes, and workflow improvements.
• Generate PPAP packages (Capability Studies, FMEA, Control Plans).
• Plan and analyze RMA to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Maintain awareness of customer requirements and use complaints to drive improvements.
• Maintain safe, healthy working environment and ensure equipment usage per regulations.
• Ensure environmental and health/safety compliance on the production floor.
• Operate and train on equipment including Calipers, Voltmeter, assembly aids, jigs, fixtures, and welders.

Job description

-Develop all process sheets (Work Instructions) necessary to manufacture all products and ensure quality within established cost limits.

-Update BOM’s to reflect CAR and approved process improvements.

-Properly define all test parameters for electrical and mechanical integrity of the products.

-Use input and guidance from design and test engineers to ensure that safety, quality, and environmental issues are considered and implemented.

-Teach, implement, and sustain DFSS and DFM processes for engineering development projects.

-Work with engineers and prototype/sample department to ensure new products are properly documented with BOM and process sheets.

-Plan, document, and provide periodic status reports on test results, processes, and workflow improvements.

-Generate PPAP packages to include Capability Studies, FMEA, and Control Plans.

-Plan, document, control, and analyze RMA (Returned Material) to determine root cause and develop appropriate corrective action that will eliminate future non-conformities.

-Maintain an awareness of customer requirements and use complaints to identify areas that may need development or improvement.

-Assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment and ensure that all equipment is used in accordance with safety regulations and company rules.

-Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and ensure that all environmental and health and safety regulations are complied with and implemented on the production floor.

-Operate and train others on a wide range of equipment and tasks including Calipers, Voltmeter, Assembly of aids, jigs, fixtures, Electrical resistance welders, Ultrasonic welders, Electrical testing, Product labeling, and Shrink wrapping.

Qualifications:
