Job summary

Emerald Technologies, an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Brea, CA to lead manufacturing readiness and drive process improvements across PCBA and electromechanical assembly.

You will review drawings for manufacturability, develop manufacturing plans, and guide cross‑functional teams on equipment, tooling, and process documentation while upholding IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD‑001 standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) preferred.
  • 7–10 years in PCBA, cable assembly, or electromechanical manufacturing (required).
  • Experience in contract manufacturing, preferably for military/aerospace customers.
  • IPC‑A‑610 and J‑STD‑001 knowledge required.
  • Lean, 6S and continuous improvement experience.
  • CAD tools and MES systems experience (Aegis preferred).
  • Strong problem solving and cross‑functional leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing readiness reviews and communicate build strategies to cross‑functional teams.

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, test engineering, and production teams.

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer within a fast-growing PCBA contract manufacturing environment, you’ll help shape how products are built, improve processes, and drive technical excellence across our manufacturing operations.

  • Hands‑on experience with Lean, 6S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools and MES systems (Aegis preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and lead cross‑functional technical initiatives.

Work Schedule: This position follows a standard Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Engineering schedules may vary based on business needs and operational support requirements. Flexibility is expected to ensure adequate coverage, and while typical hours are Monday through Friday, occasional adjustments may be necessary.
Work Hours: Full‑time, approximately 40 hours per week. This is a salaried position, and occasional additional hours may be required based on business needs.
