Job summary

Abbott Laboratories, a global healthcare leader, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer in Plano, TX, to drive manufacturing test systems and electrical troubleshooting for Neuromodulation devices. You will lead failure analyses, optimize test strategies, and support NPI with DFx requirements.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing/electrical engineering, strong PCB and circuit knowledge, plus proficiency in C# and test equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing/test/electrical engineering, preferably in regulated environment.
• Experience with analog/digital circuits, PCB schematics, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with manufacturing test systems (ATE) and electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical failure analyses and root cause investigations with corrective actions.
• Analyze PCB schematics, layouts, and design to troubleshoot product/process issues.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing test strategies, fixtures, and ATE.
• Design and implement test plans including data collection and reporting.
• Analyze manufacturing/test data to drive process improvements.
• Support NPI by developing test solutions with DFM/DFT considerations.
• Maintain and improve test platforms (hardware and software).
• Collaborate with Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Operations.
• Lead continuous improvement for efficiency, yield, uptime, and cost reduction.
• Prepare engineering docs, validation protocols, work instructions, and change controls.
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate findings to stakeholders.
