Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to strengthen inventory and manufacturing cost accounting processes in a fast-paced environment. You will handle month-end close, inventory valuation, standard cost maintenance, variances, and reconciliations while partnering with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams.

The role requires knowledge of US GAAP, Oracle ERP experience, and strong analytical skills to drive cost improvements and data-driven decisions. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Approximately 3+ years of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP inventory accounting concepts and standard costing.
• Experience with Oracle ERP or another large ERP system strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel and database skills; Power BI or Onestream is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain accounting issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own key inventory accounting activities including valuation and standard cost maintenance.
• Maintain and analyze inventory cost components and reconciliations.
• Prepare month-end close journals and related cost accounting entries.
• Research and resolve inventory costing issues and variances.
• Support audits and SOX controls; assist with internal controls.
• Develop KPIs to improve cost accounting accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead process improvements and automation in cost accounting.
