Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to strengthen inventory and manufacturing cost accounting. You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Tech to resolve costing issues, maintain standard costs, and support month-end close.

The role focuses on US GAAP compliance, cost analysis, and process improvements across ERP systems. Travel up to 10% may be required as part of responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP inventory accounting and standard costing.
• Experience with Oracle ERP or similar ERP systems; strong data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accounting activities: valuation, standard cost maintenance, and month-end close entries.
• Prepare cost accounting reconciliations and investigate variances for accuracy.
• Research costing issues and resolve discrepancies between operations and accounting records.
• Maintain standard costs, freight, duty, and other cost components in ERP systems.
• Support annual standard cost updates and analyze financial impact of changes.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to improve processes and controls.
• Assist with SOX controls, audits, and KPI development for cost accounting.
