Bruker Nano Surface Metrology in Camarillo, CA is hiring a Manufacturing and Assembly Technician to support Atomic Force Microscope production. You will inspect finished goods for quality conformance and assemble them into packaging, while following SOPs in a cleanroom environment.

The role requires at least 2 years in mechanical/optical/electrical manufacturing, ability to lift 25 lbs, stand or sit long hours, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical, optical or electrical manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.
• Ability to work unsupervised and set priorities accordingly.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist motions.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to safely work with and around chemicals and solvents.
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with peers, supervisors, manufacturing engineers
• Able to understand instructions both written and spoken in English.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable with performing multiple tasks at the same time.
• Experienced in handling sensitive manufactured parts that are easily damaged by mishandling and electrostatic discharge.
• Ability to calmly perform duties during periods of high stress.
• Microsoft Office/Windows Proficiency
• Experience with SAP not required, but definitely a bonus.

Responsabilités

• Inspect finished goods to verify quality conformance and assemble into packaging material.
• Follow SOPs and Manufacturing Work Instructions (WI’s).
• Handle very fragile 4" Diameter silicon wafers.
• Use sharp-tipped tweezers for small parts.
• Clean and fabricate parts using dilute chemicals and solvents.
• Use optical microscopes for inspection of components and assemblies to verify quality conformance.
• Use optical microscopes to aid in building miniaturized assemblies.
• Use test equipment to verify quality conformance.
• Maintain close attention to detail as parts and part numbers may look similar.
• Data entry of test/assembly results into Microsoft Excel or an equivalent database.
• Maintain clean and organized work area; complete required training timely.
• Comply with safety procedures and report hazards.
• Contribute to refinement of procedures and protocols; elevate issues as necessary.
• Relay equipment issues to superiors and deliver progress updates to supervisor.
