Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) seeks a Managing Technical Consultant, Power and Renewables (Senior Level) in Walnut Creek, CA to support domestic impact assessment services for energy clients across the western US.

You will provide technical consulting for environmental permitting and compliance, lead deliverables, and collaborate with practitioners across ERM to ensure quality and timeliness in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's in environmental science/engineering, biology/ecology, planning, or similar field.
• 6+ years of impact assessment and environmental permitting experience.
• Experience developing NEPA and CEQA documentation; state permitting requirements (AZ, NV, CA) a asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to write comprehensive technical reports.
• Ability to succeed in fast-paced consulting, manage multiple projects, and travel to client locations.
• Driver's License required: ability to travel to client facilities across a large area.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical consulting support for environmental permitting and compliance for energy projects (power generation, transmission, renewable energy), focusing on CEQA/NEPA and related regulations.
• Support large compliance programs in data management and communication for renewable energy projects.
• Contribute to preparing impact assessment deliverables and conduct data collection, literature review, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with ERM impact assessment practitioners across offices to execute projects.
• Complete work per ERM management system, format, and quality standards; adhere to schedule and budget.
