Senior Manager of Design (AI UX/UI)

GEICO seeks a senior manager to lead our AI UX/UI Design Team, responsible for building a high‑performing design team and delivering product experiences that meet customer needs.

This hybrid role requires onsite presence 2–3 days a week at Palo Alto, CA or Manhattan, NYC.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to uncover customer and business needs, translating them into digital experiences.
  • Translate complex ideas into clear, understandable concepts that evolve and enhance the product experience.
  • Manage shifting priorities to provide clear direction and input on product prioritization, supporting early product definition.
  • Advocate for the customer through human‑centered design methods, including discovery, research sessions, and user testing.
  • Facilitate and participate in workshops with internal and external stakeholders to align with business needs.
  • Drive end‑to‑end product design by framing problems, generating insights, and developing new methodologies/practices to serve customer needs.
  • Create processes and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and interaction models.
  • Deliver design assets for acceptance, development, and market delivery in partnership with engineering.
  • Teach, mentor, and guide designers.
  • Prepare and manage departmental business plans, staffing projections, and budgets.
Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in User Experience design.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and mentoring design teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Generative AI and Agentic systems.
  • Strong visual and UI design skills.
  • Experience providing creative direction.
  • Experience designing for cross‑channel experiences.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma) to deliver concepts and enable collaboration across teams.
Annual Salary

$146,575.00 – $229,600.00. The above annual salary range is a general guideline; multiple factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, location, and market considerations are taken into account to arrive at the final offer. At this time, GEICO will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
