Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking an experienced Manager, Supply Chain Management to lead the development and execution of global supply chain strategy for a product category. You will direct forecasting, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration, interfacing with sales, marketing and GOC to optimize performance.

The role requires a strong background in supply chain, excellent communication skills and the ability to drive strategic projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8–10 years’ work experience in supply chain, product management, finance, logistics or similar.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to executives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead forecasting and inventory management for a product category.
  • Manage demand forecast 6+ months out to achieve KPI targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on AP2 and Revenue targets.
  • Review monthly forecast vs sales and aging, and close gaps.
  • Host weekly S&OP meetings to discuss operations and supply chain issues.
  • Maintain proactive communication with inbound and inventory teams to meet goals.
  • Support weekly sales meetings with SCM/PM/BM/Sales teams.
  • Prepare reports and metrics (demand changes, revenue projection, aging, forecast accuracy).
  • Lead and support strategic innovation projects related to a product category.

Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Manager, Supply Chain Management to join the team at Samsung Electronics. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and execution of Samsung’s global supply chain strategy and optimize its performance across the organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management and a strong track record of delivering successful projects. Samsung Electronic America’s Supply Chain Team is responsible for ensuring product availability to meet forecasted demand by the Sales Subsidiary. Forecasts are generated via consensus calls with Sales Teams, Marketing Teams, and with the Samsung Global Operations Center and tracked using spreadsheets, SAP, and Samsung Systems and Tools.

The Manager, Supply Chain Demand Forecasting is responsible for leading one product category and supporting a range of products and SKU’s and working with other Planners within the Department. The Senior manager will also help define and support strategic projects on behalf of the Supply Chain Team, generate and present reports for Executive Management, and represent the SCM Team with other Departments

The Supply Chain Manager will be the primary point of contact for all supply related issues related to their product category at the Sales Subsidiary. They will also interact closely with Customers and with internal teams including Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a product category PSI team focused on forecasting and inventory management
  • Manage Demand forecast +6months out to achieve weekly RTF, weekly OTRQ, and Revenue
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Business Management, Sales, GOC) to align on AP2 and Revenue target considering promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with Sales leader to review/discuss current month forecast vs Sales estimate and aging for current and next quarter and close the gap
  • Weekly Demand (PSI) Forecast management the SKU level
    • SKU level AP1/AP2 update and customer order commitment
    • AP2 Buffer process with Product Marketing
    • Aging/ATS risk management
  • Host weekly S&OP meetings to discuss operational and supply chain issues with key stake holders. (BM/PM/GBM)
  • Maintain proactive daily communication with the inbound and inventory teams to achieve department weekly/monthly goals
  • Support running weekly Sales meeting with SCM/PM/BM/Sales team
  • Reports and Metrics (including Demand Changes, Revenue Projection, Aging, Forecast Accuracy, etc…)
  • Lead and support Strategic innovation projects related on a product category
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8~10 years’ work experience in relevant field: Supply chain, Product management, Finance, Logistics or similar.
  • Excellent Analytical and Computer Skills
  • Excellent Communications skills (written, verbal)
  • Must be comfortable presenting to and promoting consensus-building at the Executive level.
  • Must be comfortable working in a multi-regional business environment
  • Must be available to work over‑time and on weekends to support international operations
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to think creatively and need to provide plenty of initiative and can work unsupervised
  • Project management skill is plus
  • Strong Math and Organizational Skills
