Own departmental performance, budget execution, savings delivery, service levels, and team capability. Establish governance, standards, and performance mechanisms that balance regional consistency with country and site requirements.

W hat You'll Be Doing:
  • Develop and execute short- to medium-term procurement, supply, category, and supplier strategies across South America, aligned with business plans, financial objectives, operational requirements, and global Procurement standards.
  • Lead regional procurement planning and ensure the availability of materials, equipment, and services across multiple countries and facilities, balancing cost, quality, lead time, inventory, working capital, and supply continuity.
  • Own supplier segmentation, selection, qualification, performance management, and development. Build strategic supplier relationships and lead corrective or recovery plans when service, quality, financial, or compliance expectations are not achieved.
  • Lead complex sourcing and negotiation initiatives, determine the appropriate commercial approach, and provide recommendations on supplier awards and contractual commitments within delegated authority.
  • Establish inventory policies and optimization plans for assigned categories. Monitor inventory value, turnover, days on hand, obsolescence exposure, and service levels, and initiate corrective actions to improve cash and operational performance.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate supply, market, supplier, commercial, geopolitical, and operational risks through market intelligence, scenario analysis, contingency planning, supplier diversification, and cross-functional action plans.
  • Own procurement governance and process standardization across the regional scope, ensuring compliant execution, reliable data, effective controls, and continuous improvement of systems, tools, and performance reporting.
  • Accountable for the departmental operating budget, savings and value-delivery commitments, resource allocation, forecasts, and expenditure controls. Recommend and implement corrective actions when performance deviates from plan.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and management routines covering spend, savings, purchase volume, supplier performance, contract compliance, delivery lead time, inventory, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Legal, Quality, Engineering, and other functions to resolve complex business issues, prioritize procurement requirements, and align decisions with regional objectives.
  • Provide market insight, options, and recommendations to senior stakeholders, influencing business decisions involving supply continuity, capital deployment, operating expenditure, supplier strategy, and risk exposure.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of procurement professionals. Set objectives and priorities, manage performance, strengthen functional capability, support succession planning, and create an inclusive, accountable, high-performance environment.
  • Represent the regional supply/procurement area in cross-functional initiatives and contribute functional expertise to broader business planning, transformation, integration, and productivity programs.

  • Advanced procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, demand and supply planning, supplier management, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including spend analysis, budgeting, savings validation, total-cost analysis, inventory, and working capital.
  • Ability to interpret market intelligence, assess risk, structure scenarios, and make recommendations in complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Experience leading change, process standardization, governance, performance management, and cross-functional initiatives in a multi-country environment.
