Job summary

AMD is seeking a Senior Manager, Total Rewards Strategy & Portfolio Management to drive priorities, governance, execution, and organizational effectiveness across the global Total Rewards function.

You will partner with the Vice President of Total Rewards and the Director, Benefits Strategy & Total Rewards Operations to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and ensure disciplined execution across complex initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Human Resources, Total Rewards, HR Operations, business operations, management consulting, or enterprise program management.
  • Experience supporting senior executives and leading highly visible cross-functional initiatives within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong program and portfolio management experience, including strategic planning, governance, risk management, and execution oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Total Rewards leadership to translate strategic priorities into execution plans, milestones, governance frameworks, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Drive operational excellence across the Total Rewards function through portfolio management, strategic planning, progress tracking, risk management, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support the operating cadence of the Total Rewards Leadership Team by developing agendas, executive briefings, leadership communications, and follow-up plans while ensuring accountability for key decisions and commitments.
  • Develop executive presentations, dashboards, scorecards, reporting, and decision-support materials for HR leadership and senior executives.
  • Lead or coordinate strategic initiatives across Total Rewards, including organizational transformation, AI-enabled productivity efforts, compliance initiatives, vendor implementations, and cross-functional HR programs.
  • Establish and apply consistent project and portfolio management practices to ensure successful delivery of initiatives across scope, schedule, quality, risks, dependencies, and business outcomes.
  • Support organizational effectiveness efforts including talent planning, succession planning, leadership development, change management, employee engagement, and operating model improvements.
  • Provide program management support for mergers, acquisitions, and organizational integrations, coordinating activities across HR, Legal, Finance, Payroll, Corporate Development, and Total Rewards subject matter experts.

AMD is seeking a Senior Manager, Total Rewards Strategy & Portfolio Management to help drive priorities, governance, execution, and organizational effectiveness across the global Total Rewards function. Partnering closely with the Vice President of Total Rewards and the Director, Benefits Strategy & Total Rewards Operations, you will translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and help ensure disciplined execution across complex, cross-functional initiatives.

This role serves as a key connector across Compensation, Benefits, Executive Compensation, Equity, and broader HR teams, helping drive operational excellence, portfolio management, executive communications, leadership team effectiveness, and strategic transformation initiatives. You will also support Total Rewards activities related to acquisitions, integrations, organizational change, and business transformation efforts.

THE PERSON:

You are a strategic and highly organized program leader who excels at turning business priorities into measurable outcomes. You are comfortable working with senior executives, influencing without direct authority, and driving alignment across complex stakeholder groups. You combine strong business acumen, operational discipline, and executive communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Partner with Total Rewards leadership to translate strategic priorities into execution plans, milestones, governance frameworks, and measurable business outcomes.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in Human Resources, Total Rewards, HR Operations, business operations, management consulting, or enterprise program management.
  • Experience supporting senior executives and leading highly visible cross-functional initiatives within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong program and portfolio management experience, including strategic planning, governance, risk management, and execution oversight.
  • Experience translating business strategies into execution plans, priorities, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Total Rewards, Compensation, Benefits, Executive Compensation, Equity, annual HR processes, or broader HR operations is preferred.
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, integrations, organizational transformation, or large-scale change initiatives is desired.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation development, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills. ,
  • Experience leveraging analytics, dashboards, automation, AI-enabled productivity tools, and process-improvement methodologies to drive organizational effectiveness.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • MBA, MSHR, or other advanced degree is desired.
