Job summary

Diversified Energy, based in Birmingham, AL, seeks a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting to strengthen the Financial Reporting team. This role supports the Director of Financial Reporting, ensuring accurate internal statements and compliance with accounting policies, while engaging with auditors and regulators.

The position requires a strong background in GAAP, SEC reporting, and technical accounting, with collaboration across departments and external advisors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years combined public accounting and corporate technical accounting experience.
• 7+ years of SEC/public company reporting experience (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxies).
• Exposure to acquisition accounting and capital markets transactions.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master’s degree preferred; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research complex accounting, disclosure, and reporting matters.
• Draft technical accounting memoranda and position papers supporting accounting conclusions.
• Serve as a technical accounting resource across the accounting and finance organization.
• Monitor emerging accounting standards and lead implementation efforts as necessary.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing and analyzing external financial statements and filings for capital markets activities.
• Prepare financial statements for ad hoc requests related to contemplated transactions and financing arrangements.
• Support statutory reporting requirements across multiple legal entities.
• Coordinate with Treasury, Legal, and external advisors on debt-related reporting matters.
• Assist FP&A in monthly management reporting packages.
