The Senior Manager, Commercial Bank Testing is a team leader role within the BMO Commercial Bank Headquarters Risk & Control group. This group is responsible for leading 1st Line efforts, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and managed within Bank policy and regulatory guidelines.

The role applies in-depth knowledge of risk management and internal controls related to Commercial business processes, underwriting, and portfolio monitoring. The Senior Manager leads and manages the testing team, develops and maintains an effective internal operational control and data quality testing framework, writes operational control test scripts, executes testing, monitoring, and operational activities of various complexities, and provides insights and recommendations based on test results.

  9. Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  10. Manage resources and lead strategic initiatives to achieve business and financial goals.
  11. Define business requirements for analytics and reporting to inform decision-making.
  12. Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations.
  13. Lead communication strategies to influence or change behavior, ensuring messaging consistency.
  14. Support change management initiatives.
  15. Plan and execute testing programs, ensuring high-quality practices and results.
  16. Manage testing resources and strategies, collaborating across teams for process consistency.
  17. Develop and adapt testing programs and capabilities for ongoing efficiency and effectiveness.
  18. Participate in planning and implementation of operational testing programs.
  19. Analyze root causes of errors, document findings, and support continuous improvement.
  20. Operate at an enterprise level, serving as a resource to senior stakeholders.
  21. Apply creative expertise to address complex, non-routine problems and respond to trends.
Qualifications:
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
  • Expert understanding of business challenges, industry insights, and best practices.
  • Strong communication, analytical, influence, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and make data-driven decisions.
Salary:

$100,000.00 - $185,500.00

Pay Type:
