Responsibilities

• Defines project and program objectives for areas of responsibility and completes preliminary activities for effectiveness.
• Ensures systems engineering projects are completed per requirements with attention to specifications, costs, resources, and timelines.
• Develops personnel through training, coaching, goals, and career development; participates in hiring and performance management.
• Maintains documentation and reports for compliance with policies including notebooks, patents, confidentiality, ISO, and safety.
• Assigns work to staff, enabling professional development and high productivity.
• Speaks to R&D of new technologies and integration into products/services; disseminates know-how as needed.
• Manages departmental budgets and spending requirements.
• Optimizes use of computing resources to accelerate design development.
