Job summary

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett seeks a seasoned Sterile Processing leader to oversee four supervisors and work with perioperative leadership, staff and physicians. The role defines and manages the strategic plan for Sterile Processing, while developing and monitoring departmental budgets.

Based at Everett with secondary support at Swedish Edmonds, you will lead initiatives to ensure high-quality sterile processing and compliance across the system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare field or equivalent.
  • Multiple national certifications in sterile processing and distribution.
  • 5 years supervisory experience with staff development.
  • 7 years work experience in sterile processing.
  • 5 years budget management and analysis.

Description

This role will be responsible for overseeing four supervisor direct reports, and strong working relationships with Perioperative and Interventional leadership, clinical and support staff, and physicians throughout the North Puget Sound. This role will work collaboratively with Senior Nursing Director to define, manage, and closely monitor the strategic plan for Sterile Processing. Develops, implements, and manages operational budgets for departments.

This position will support both Providence Regional Medical Center - Everett (primary location) and Swedish Edmonds locations (secondary location).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Business or Healthcare related field or equivalent education/experience.
  • National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire or
  • National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire or
  • National Certified Instrument Specialist - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire or
  • National Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire
  • National Certified Healthcare Leader - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire
  • National Management in Sterile Processing - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire
  • 5 years of Supervisory experience, including training and staff development.
  • 5 years of Budget with management and analysis.
  • 7 years of Work experience in the field of Sterile Processing.
