Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Senior Sourcing Lead to drive end-to-end sourcing strategies for the Pet Food category in Bentonville, AR. You will lead cost optimization and growth while partnering across Merchandising, Product Development, and Supply Chain to shape assortment, pricing, replenishment, and lifecycle decisions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2 years’ experience in merchandising or related areas, or 6 years’ experience; strong negotiation, vendor management, and data-analysis skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, engineering, or related area; 2 years’ experience in merchandising, sourcing, planning, finance, or related area; or 6 years’ experience.
• Proven experience developing and executing sourcing or procurement strategies.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Strong understanding of cost drivers, supply chain dynamics, manufacturing, and financial levers affecting margin and performance.
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across Merchandising, Product Development, and Supply Chain.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Proficiency in commodity management, direct imports, and category strategy development.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or related area.
• Preferred: Procurement in a retail environment
• Preferred: Raw material and commodity procurement
