What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Oversee a large engineering team located in North America, Europe, and Asia
• Collaborate with the Technical Lead and Product team to set team direction, balancing product and engineering priorities
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team
• Mentor and develop team members by aligning their experiences with upcoming opportunities on the roadmap
• Monitor the platform\'s budget and ensure operational expenses remain within expected boundaries

What is Required (Qualifications)

• 3+ years of experience leading/managing engineering teams of 5+ people, preferably with teams across multiple time zones
• 7+ years of experience in tech, particularly in Big Data, with experience in both designing and coding
• Proven track record of launching successful cloud data processing applications with security best practices and automation practices (DevOps)
• 5+ years of experience with a tech stack including Scala/Java, Spark, AWS/Azure/GCP, Airflow/DataFactory, Snowflake/AWS Athena/BigQuery, and Terraform
• Strong understanding of cloud ecosystems and orchestration technologies

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience with large data volume processing capabilities
• Familiarity with EKS/EC2/Lambda-Serverless cloud compute technologies
• Previous involvement in teams that promote a culture of continuous improvement
