Job summary

Qdoba Restaurant Corporation seeks a hands-on Manager of Software Engineering to lead design, development, and continuous improvement of enterprise and internal software platforms. You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, and drive technical strategy within the corporate tech ecosystem.

The role partners with Product Management, Data Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure to deliver scalable, secure, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Software Eng.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years in people leadership, tech lead, or engineering management.
• Experience delivering enterprise-grade software solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET/.NET Core, REST APIs, SQL Server, cloud services, CI/CD, and Git-based source control.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, integration patterns, testing, security, and modern architecture.
• Experience in Agile environments and handling multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers with coaching and performance management.
• Set and enforce engineering standards for architecture, security, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of applications and services.
• Translate requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions with Product Management and stakeholders.
• Lead design reviews and guide secure, resilient, observable systems.
• Own reliability, performance, and reduction of technical debt across platforms.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
• Manage third-party partners and distributed teams ensuring quality and knowledge transfer.
