Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or related field with supervisory or management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field (or with 2+ years related experience) as an alternative.
• Desirable: Virginia Social Worker license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises management staff and acts in the place of the Social Services Director when absent.
• Directs, advises and consults with program managers on administrative and policy issues.
• Plans and coordinates the implementation of specialized divisional programs.
• Prepares reports and budgets; coordinates audits and prepares narratives.
• Plans, organizes and directs staff/programs in Family Services Division (Child Welfare, Adult Services, Employment Services).
