Job description

Title: Senior Manager - Small Group & Individual

Location: Remote (must reside in CA, OR, or WA)

Type: FTE

Salary: $160,000-$190,000 + 8% Bonus + Unlimited PTO

This business is a non-profit health insurer that offers various plans for individuals, families, Medicare, and businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the growth and strategic development of Small Group and Individual product lines

• Own pricing, rate certification, and final sign-off responsibilities for those lines

• Manage and mentor a team of 4-5 actuarial analysts

• Oversee and drive forecasting efforts to support business planning

• Develop and refine financial models to evaluate performance and inform decisions

• Communicate key financial insights and results to stakeholders and senior leadership

What We're Looking For:

• 8+ years of experience as a health actuary

• Strong background in Small Group and Individual markets

• Proven expertise in ACA pricing

• ASA or FSA designation required

• 1+ years of leadership or team management experience

• Solid experience in forecasting and financial planning

• Must be based in or willing to relocate to California, Oregon, or Washington
