Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Site Supply Chain to lead executional supply chain operations at a high-complexity aerospace and defense manufacturing company. This role is responsible for procurement, materials planning, inventory control, logistics, and overall material flow supporting both electronics and energetics programs. Reporting to the Senior Director of Supply Chain, this leader will manage a multi-layered organization of managers and supervisors while working within a matrixed environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong end-to-end supply chain experience, proven leadership of leaders, and the ability to drive operational performance in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop teams across Purchasing, Materials Planning, and Logistics
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Own site-level execution of procurement, planning, inventory, and logistics operations
  • Ensure material availability and seamless flow from suppliers through production to customer delivery
  • Oversee procurement execution across $100M+ in annual spend within low-volume, high-mix aerospace and defense programs
  • Partner with Category Management and Supplier Development to align sourcing strategies with operational execution
  • Serve as the escalation point for supplier delivery, quality, and performance issues
  • Lead demand and supply planning processes aligned with production and program schedules
  • Improve forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, material availability, and inventory accuracy
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, and material handling
  • Ensure safe and compliant handling of regulated materials, including energetics
  • Partner with Quality, Compliance, Operations, Engineering, Supplier Development, and Category Management to drive program execution
  • Influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders within a matrixed organization
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, AS9100, CPSR, DOT, IATA, ATF, and internal policies
  • Support audits and maintain procurement system integrity
  • Lead initiatives to improve on-time delivery, cost, inventory turns, and overall supply chain performance
  • Implement Lean practices, visual management, KPI routines, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support site and enterprise-level supply chain transformation efforts
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of supply chain experience within aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing
  • 5-7+ years of experience managing managers or leading multi-layered organizations
  • Strong end-to-end experience across procurement, materials planning, inventory, and logistics
  • Proven ability to lead teams through complex operational challenges
  • Experience working within a matrixed organization and influencing across functions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, operational performance, and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • CPSM, CPIM, PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with Lean process improvement, problem solving, and process design
