Partner with the best

As a Senior Manager Site Reliability Engineering, you will help lead our global team of SRE's who manage & support our Linode's Kubernetes Engine (LKE) products. Our SRE teams work on improving reliability, scalability, security, and usability for thousands of the Kubernetes clusters and include some large global enterprises.

As a Senior Manager Site Reliability Engineering, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and mentoring a team of talented leads and engineers.
  • Defining requirements as part of the product lifecycle to influence the new designs and standards.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to understand and shape the product roadmap.
  • Taking ownership for technical and product innovation, exercising design thinking, analyzing systems and developing solutions.
  • Organizing and operating in an Agile environment to drive SRE activities.
  • Focusing on team goals and building collaborative and effective working relationships through establishing commitments, accountability and trust.

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
  • Possess experience in DevOps, SysAdmin, or Development role, working with large scale distributed systems.
  • Have experience leading and mentoring a team.
  • Have experience building with cloud native technologies and Kubernetes deployments at scale.
  • Demonstrate experience with Container Runtimes (e.g. docker, containers, etc), Go, Python, or Bash scripting
  • Be familiar with software development practices and product life cycles through build, test, deploy, and iterative environments.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $155,600 - $323,200/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
